BiH exported nearly 59, but imported as much as 124 million BAM of dairy products

According to data from the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH (UIO), in the first 11 months of 2014, Bosnia and Herzegovina exported milk and dairy products worth nearly 59 million BAM, while in the same period, milk and dairy products worth over 124 million BAM were imported into BiH, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

Imports of milk and dairy products into BiH in November decreased by just over one million BAM compared to January this year, while exports of milk and dairy products from our country increased by nearly two million, but this is still not enough for domestic dairy farmers to be satisfied.

The Indirect Taxation Authority published data on imports and exports of milk and dairy products on its website. Statistical data will be regularly updated on a monthly basis. By publishing this data, the UIO fulfilled the conclusions of the Council of Ministers of BiH following a session dedicated to the situation in the dairy sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Each month, the Indirect Taxation Authority will publish updated data on imports of milk and dairy products into Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as exports of these products from our country, on its official website, in the statistics section.

The Indirect Taxation Authority also announced that it continues to conduct enhanced control of imports of milk and dairy products into BiH, reports NAP.
