BiH Faces March 1st in the Deepest Crisis in Recent History

Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided on March 1, 1992, to build their freedom, future, and prosperity in a democratic, sovereign, indivisible, and internationally recognized state, announced the organization “Friends of BiH“ on the occasion of BiH Independence Day.  

- The circumstances in which we have welcomed this Independence Day require the maximum engagement of all citizens in preserving its institutions, insisting on justice, and economic recovery. Bosnia and Herzegovina is in the deepest crisis in its recent history. It has literally touched every citizen, and bypassed the few who have tied their existence to political parties and their governing structures. The chaotic state of the country is evident at every level and in every aspect: from the constitutional order to the economy and public morality – stated this association.

As they point out, today Bosnia and Herzegovina, perhaps more than ever, needs its citizens who will know how to appreciate and develop its freedom, independence, and economic progress on democratic foundations.

- Today, Bosnia and Herzegovina needs its friends. Both within Bosnia and Herzegovina and from outside. And it wasn't so long ago that we could be convinced of sincere friendship towards a free and independent Bosnia and Herzegovina, both in the West and in the East. We in the Citizens' Association “Friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina“ are convinced that together we have enough knowledge, strength, and will to make our country better and fairer. Happy March 1st, Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina – it was announced.
