Bičo: Epidemiological situation in BPK under control

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The epidemiological situation in the area of Bosansko-Podrinjski Canton Goražde is under control, said the director of the Public Health Institute of BPK Goražde, epidemiologist Medina Bičo.

According to data from the Public Health Institute of BPK Goražde, 133 people are under health supervision, and 4 people are positive for coronavirus.  

So far, 17 people have been tested and found to be negative for coronavirus. As for the tests, the Public Health Institute of BPK Goražde currently has 50 tests for virus detection, and new ones are being procured. Testing will be carried out according to the assessment of epidemiological indications.

"Today we are ordering an additional 100 tests, and as for testing, all tests are sent for analysis to the reference center of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo. Today we plan to take swabs and tests from people who have developed symptoms. We are trying to keep the situation under control and for that purpose we are in constant communication with the Health Insurance Fund, the Cantonal Hospital, and we have great support from the Government of BPK Goražde, the relevant ministry, and the Cantonal Civil Protection Headquarters, which are in constant session" - these are the words of director Bičo, it was announced on the website of the government of this canton.
