(Patria) - The best BiH cyclist Lejla Njemčević took fourth place in the team's six-day stage UCI race Andalucia Bike Race. Andalucia Bike Race is considered one of the most prestigious team stage races in the world in the UCI SHC category, one class below the World Cup in the marathon discipline. Lejla Njemčević competed with her Allebike teammate Terese Andersson, who currently holds 16th place in the UCI World rankings. After six days of racing, Janina Wust and Rosa Van Doorn for the Buff Megamo team took the overall victory.
Lejla Njemčević and Terese Andersson had a good start to the race, having won third place on the first stage, and improved their position to second place on the second stage. They were unlucky on the third stage and lost more than 30 minutes due to a technical problem, so after the last, sixth stage, they took fourth place in the general classification.
Our competitor continues her preparations in Spain for the upcoming season, and the first World Cup awaits her at the end of May in the Czech Republic, where she surprised the international cycling community with a dominant victory last season. Lejla Njemčević currently holds second place in the UCI World rankings with 1380 points.
