BHRT and RTV FBiH Reach Agreement, Karamehmedović and Šabić Sign Cooperation Deal

(Patria) - General directors of BHRT Belmin Karamehmedović and RTV FBiH Džemal Šabić signed a business cooperation agreement, with mediation by the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH.

The Management Board of BHRT stated that this agreement represents a step in resolving the never more difficult situation in which BHRT found itself.

"After agony and uncertainty for this media house and its workers that lasted six months, funds collected in the account of Elektroprivreda BiH from the RTV fee will be distributed in the coming days.

Following the signing of this agreement and the transfer of money to BHRT's account, workers will be paid their salaries, and future mutual relations and obligations between BHRT and FTV have also been agreed upon," the statement said.

In addition to the cooperation agreement, it is added, the general directors of BHRT and FTV also signed an annex to the contract with Elektroprivreda BiH on the collection of the RTV fee.

"BHRT thanks the Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH Edin Forto for his mediation and search for a solution, as well as all other actors who have so far been supportive of BHRT," the statement added.
