BHANSA faces serious challenges in ensuring the continuity of air navigation services

(Patria) - BHANSA, as a provider of air navigation services in BiH, is facing serious operational challenges caused by a sudden and simultaneous increase in sick leave among part of the operational staff.

This situation has resulted in significant disruption to air traffic control services, and according to Network Manager data, over 70,000 minutes of air traffic delays above BiH were recorded over the past weekend.

"Although BHANSA fully respects every employee's right to sick leave in accordance with current legislation, as a responsible institution, we are obliged to conduct checks on the justification of this sudden increase, primarily to preserve the safety of air navigation.

At the same time, despite the difficult financial situation - including the Agency's blocked account due to a dispute in which BHANSA is not a party - the BHANSA Management has decided to pay full salaries and related benefits to all employees.

With this move, we wanted to clearly show our commitment to the stability of the system and the interests of the employees.

While we understand the legitimate expectations of the workers, we remind that the destabilization of the air traffic control system has far-reaching consequences for the country's reputation and traffic safety, and as such cannot be a means of pressure.

BHANSA remains open for dialogue, but will not compromise the fundamental principles of professionalism and safety," the agency announced.
