Bosnian transporters warn: Tomorrow's meeting is the last chance, if no agreement is reached, protests will move in front of institutions

(Patria) - Representatives of Bosnian transporters, gathered in the Consortium Logistika BiH, will meet with representatives of the entity governments tomorrow in Bosanska Gradiška.

One of the transporters' representatives, Nikola Brković, told TVSA that the patience of the transport sector is running out, and that they expect concrete solutions from tomorrow, not another "passing the buck".

After temporary blockades of border crossings, which marked the past few days, transporters withdrew as a sign of goodwill and social responsibility, but with a clear ultimatum.

The key problem, according to Brković, lies in the lack of coordination between entity ministries and the Council of Ministers of BiH.

Brković says that the main reason for the current stalemate in resolving demands is an administrative vicious circle.

- I finally expect the institutions to agree. It often happens that one ministry in the RS signs an agreement, and then says they cannot implement it until the ministry in the FBiH does.

Or vice versa. They constantly shift responsibility to each other. Not a single demand has been resolved from September last year to today, which is unacceptable - emphasizes Brković.

Although border crossings were blocked, transporters withdrew yesterday after calls from authorities and an agreement to hold a joint meeting of both governments.

Brković emphasizes that the withdrawal was not a result of police pressure, but a desire to prevent damage to citizens and the economy.

- We showed understanding. First, we allowed fuel to enter, and then decided not to differentiate with other groceries because we do not want BiH to go through an additional economic crisis.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs was fair, we cooperated, and our goal is not to break the law, but to fight for the survival of our sector - says Brković.

If tomorrow's meeting does not bring progress, transporters have a new plan ready that will not directly affect citizens at the borders, but those they consider responsible for the crisis.

- This is not just an attack on the transport sector, but on the entire economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. If we stop, everything will stop. We have nothing more to lose - concluded Brković.

Tomorrow's meeting in Bosanska Gradiška will be crucial for the stability of the transport chain in the country, and the outcome of the talks will determine whether Bosnia and Herzegovina will enter a new wave of protests from Thursday.
