Bosnian MPs File Criminal Complaint Against Dodik and Others for Lobbying for RS Secession

(Patria) - A group of state parliamentarians today filed a criminal complaint with the BiH Prosecutor's Office against the head of the RS Representation in Austria, Mladen Filipović, and other associated individuals who are calling for, inciting, or preparing the secession of Republika Srpska (RS) from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The complaint also names former RS President Milorad Dodik, President of the National Assembly of RS Nenad Stevandić, former RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković, as well as other individuals linked to the aforementioned activities.

The criminal complaint is signed by 11 deputies in the BiH Parliament: Aida Baručija, Sabina Ćudić, Rejhana Dervišević, Jasmin Imamović, Mia Karamehić-Abazović, Predrag Kojović, Saša Magazinović, Albin Muslić, Nihad Omerović, Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević, and Denis Zvizdić.



This case relates to an lobbying affair, with a focus on the contract that Republika Srpska concluded with the consulting firm "Dickens & Madson" from Canada.

According to the allegations, the value of the contract is four million US dollars.

The contract was signed, as stated, by Mladen Filipović in his capacity as head of the Representation of Republika Srpska in Vienna, and it pertains to the provision of lobbying and advisory services abroad.

The complainants believe there are grounds for suspicion that the mentioned activities are aimed at undermining the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and they have requested the competent judicial institutions to investigate all circumstances, including the legality of the contract itself, the method of financing, and any potential political goals behind the engagement of the aforementioned consulting firm.
