(Patria) - The Management Board of the BH Journalists Association issues a public protest against Željana Zovko, Croatian representative in the European Parliament, due to her condescending attitude towards a journalist in an interview for N1 television, aired on January 28, it was announced today.
“Speaking about current political circumstances in the region and the EU's role in addressing the migrant crisis in BiH, MEP Željana Zovko behaved throughout the interview in an extremely cynical and insulting manner towards N1 journalist Minela Jašar – Opardija, responding to legitimate questions with counter-questions and attempts to belittle the journalist's work,” the Association stated.
“I think this question goes beyond the scope of a journalist's question and the conversation we should be having,” „you are still quite young, so you haven't had time to study some things in history,” „I think the question is absolutely inappropriate, it's not my place to interpret anything,” „such questions absolutely do not contribute to reconciliation,” „our conversation is not leading to any productive conclusion and I don't see how we will end this discussion,” „if you have any other questions, I will be very happy to answer them” – these are some of the sentences and remarks with which MEP Zovko „responded” to the N1 journalist's questions.
