Bosnia U-19 team qualifies for elite round of European Championship qualifiers

(Patria) - The U-19 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina has secured a place in the elite round of qualifiers for the 2024 European Championship.

Dubravko Orlović's side were defeated tonight in Luxembourg by the Netherlands 0-3, but despite that, they finished second in the group and advanced to the next round.

The goals were scored by Banzuzi in the 16th minute, Rijkhoff in the 35th, and Van De Haar in the 87th minute of the match.

Bosnia and Herzegovina played with: Arman Šutković, Senad Mustafić (76. Marko Kozina), Nidal Čelik, Savo Šušić, Marsel Zrnić, Ajdin Beganović (46. Antoni Bajkuša), Niko Kovač, Petar Samardžija (46. Stefan Marčetić), Muamer Hamzić (82. Amir Duraković) , Amar Zahirović, Hamza Ljukovac (61. Muhamed Bejdić).

In the other group match, Luxembourg beat Azerbaijan 2-1.

The Netherlands finished first with 9 points, while Bosnia and Herzegovina are second with 4.

Luxembourg ended the tournament in third place with 3 points, while last-placed Azerbaijan earned 1 point.
