(Patria) - The funeral and burial of Emin Švrakić, founder of the Green Berets, will take place on Wednesday, August 6.
The funeral prayer will be held after the afternoon prayer in the courtyard of Begova Mosque.
The burial of Emin Švrakić will be in the courtyard of Bakrbabina Mosque in Sarajevo.
Emin Švrakić died on Sunday, August 3, at the age of 87.
Condolences to the family were also expressed by the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović.
"I received the news of the death of Emin Švrakić, founder and commander of the Green Berets unit, a proven patriot and fighter, with sadness.
Emin Švrakić proved his loyalty to his country and selflessly advocated for an independent, sovereign and united Bosnia and Herzegovina. He left an indelible mark in the recent history of our homeland, as a man who was a determined fighter for our state. The work of Emin Švrakić will live forever in the memories of all people who love Bosnia and Herzegovina. I express my sincere condolences to his family, comrades and friends.
In these difficult moments, I wish the family patience, and the esteemed Emin Švrakić eternal mercy!"
