(Patria) - A post that has been circulating on social networks in recent hours, shared by supporters and members of the "Trojka" political group, has caused public reactions due to the way the commemoration of Martyrs' Day is being addressed.
The controversial post highlights that Denis Bećirović was the "only state official" who attended the commemoration at the Kovači Martyrs' Cemetery, claiming that other officials have been absent from this event for years.
Further controversy is caused by the fact that the post was also shared by Nelisa Đurđević-Šabanović, an employee of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who entered the Presidency building as Bećirović's advisor and is now an official in the institution's press service. She is a close associate of Bećirović.
Part of the public considers such a narrative inappropriate and believes it represents an attempt to politicize and misuse the memory of martyrs for daily political purposes, especially on a day that should be above political divisions.
