Bećirović in video address: Not an inch of concession to separatists!

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović stated today that no one has the right to forget that the brutal attack on the constitutional order of BiH is still ongoing.

In a video address to the public, Bećirović stated that in such a situation, no one has the right to open negotiations on the Constitutional Court of BiH.

Bećirović emphasizes that separatist political options are once again issuing an ultimatum regarding the composition of the Constitutional Court of BiH, and therefore it is time to respond to destructive forces clearly, precisely, and with arguments.

- There must be no concession of even an inch to those who publicly state that their goal is to break up the state of BiH and so-called peaceful separation.

Separatists on their dangerous anti-Dayton path are bothered by an independent Constitutional Court of BiH. Anyone who fights for democracy must not be an ally to separatists in breaking up the Constitutional Court of BiH - Bećirović says.

He notes that the three judges appointed by the President of the European Court of Human Rights are our link to European standards and norms.

- Unlike them, Dodik's policy is a link to the darkest regimes of today. All politicians in our country and abroad must be aware of these facts.

No one has the right to forget that the brutal attack on the constitutional order of BiH is still ongoing. In such a situation, no one has the right to open negotiations on the Constitutional Court of BiH.

Only the naive or malicious can believe Dodik's theses about the sovereignty of BiH - Bećirović stated.

He adds that preserving the impartiality, independence, and professionalism of the Constitutional Court of BiH is of strategic interest to all people in our country.

According to him, the Constitutional Court of BiH is an independent guardian of the Constitution and an institutional guarantor for the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms. Therefore, its work must not be politicized.

- It is unacceptable to introduce any ethnic principles into the decision-making of the Constitutional Court of BiH. Everyone must be aware that the goal of breaking up the Constitutional Court of BiH is to break up the state of BiH.

Therefore, we must defend the principles of constitutionality and legality with all available legal means. Any interpretation that a Bosniak, Serb, Croat, and foreigners sit in the Constitutional Court of BiH is incorrect. That is not true.

Judges sit in the Constitutional Court of BiH in accordance with the Constitution of BiH and make final and binding decisions - Bećirović emphasized.

He also reminds that the Constitutional Court of BiH was founded in 1964, and the BiH entity of Republika Srpska has only existed in BiH since November 21, 1995. The Constitutional Court is 31 years older than the BiH entity of Republika Srpska.

- The Constitutional Court of BiH must continue to carry out its important mission of defending democracy, human rights, and promoting the rule of law. It must do so for the benefit of all people in BiH and without the interference of destructive politicians - Bećirović concluded.
