(Patria) - BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović spoke with Goražde Mufti Remzija-ef. Pitić and locals in Foča.
Bećirović reminded that the return process, defined by Annex VII of the Dayton Peace Agreement, faces numerous challenges, among which the lack of systemic financing stands out, in order to make return sustainable. He emphasized the importance of citizen security in returnee areas and the important role of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the conversation, Bećirović highlighted the importance of economic planning and development, which will also include returnee communities. He added that only by strengthening the economy, creating new jobs, and improving infrastructure projects is it possible to ensure a better standard of living for citizens, and the reintegration and stable development of areas where returnees live.
Bećirović pointed out the importance of direct communication with people on the ground, which contributes to a better understanding of their daily difficulties and challenges, thereby opening up opportunities for institutions to create more concrete and effective policies that meet the needs of citizens.
During his stay in Foča, BiH Presidency member Dr. Denis Bećirović also visited the Aladža Mosque. On that occasion, he emphasized the importance of preserving the religious and cultural heritage of all peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that the construction and renovation of religious buildings are a message of readiness for coexistence and building trust, according to the statement.
