Bećirović with Begaj: Establish a direct airline between Tirana and Sarajevo

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Albania Bajram Begaj in Durrës, Republic of Albania. Bećirović emphasized that the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Albania are friendly and without open bilateral issues, and that both sides are firmly committed to their further strengthening.

Bećirović expressed his belief that the re-opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Sarajevo and the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Tirana will raise cooperation to an even higher level, especially in the economic and business fields.

In this context, Bećirović emphasized the need to establish a direct airline between the two capitals. The establishment of a direct airline would have enormous significance for businessmen, tourists, and cultural workers.

President Begaj thanked the member of the Presidency of BiH for the cordial reception in Sarajevo last year, during his official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this context, he particularly emphasized the need to strengthen transport and communication links between the two countries, as well as to deepen cooperation in the field of digital transformation, and to accelerate green and sustainable projects that contribute to better integration of the two countries.

Bećirović and Begaj agreed that the European perspective of the Western Balkans is a common strategic goal, and expressed their belief that the continuation of the European integration process is the best framework for long-term stability, economic progress, and strengthening of good neighborly relations in our region.
