Bećirović with victims' associations: Schmidt's job is not to express concern, but to urgently stop glorifying criminals

(Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović spoke with Kada Hotić, representative of the Association Movement of Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves, and Murat Tahirović, president of the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide, about the preparations for organizing the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in Srebrenica.

At the meeting, it was jointly concluded to once again call on the High Representative of the international community in BiH, Christian Schmidt, to, in accordance with his powers and obligations, stop the glorification of convicted war criminals in the textbooks of the BiH entity of Rs.

"The Dayton role of the High Representative is not to express concern, but to act urgently, with the aim of protecting the Dayton Peace Agreement.



Therefore, we once again call on the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, to make a decision without delay on the dismissal of Minister Željka Stojičić, as well as to issue an order prohibiting the use of new curricula in the 2024/2025 school year.

The High Representative must act concretely and principledly throughout the entire state territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina," it was stated during the meeting.

Kada Hotić and Murat Tahirović once again thanked Bećirović and his team for their dedicated fight in preparing for the adoption of the Resolution before the General Assembly of the United Nations.

They particularly emphasized the important fact that future generations, thanks to this resolution, will commemorate July 11 as the International Day of Remembrance of the Genocide against Bosniaks in Srebrenica.
