
(Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović held a meeting today with the Chargé d'Affaires of the United States of America (USA) Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina John Ginkel.
Bećirović confirmed the importance of continuing cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the USA, especially in the context of economic and energy projects, support for reform processes, strengthening institutions, and preserving the stability of the country.
He said that the Southern Gas Interconnection project represents one of the key strategic priorities of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing its importance for strengthening energy security, diversifying supply sources, and the overall resilience of the country.
Speaking about the issue of state property, Bećirović emphasized that it is the exclusive jurisdiction of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina to regulate all issues related to this property through its institutions, in accordance with the final and binding decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH.
He added that state property is an integral part of the constitutional features and competencies of the state, and that it reflects its statehood, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Therefore, the regulation of state property is the exclusive right of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Chargé d'Affaires Ginkel reiterated the firm support of the USA for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that the USA will continue to support multi-ethnic Bosnia and Herzegovina.
