Bećirović: No one may negotiate about an asymmetric Presidency of BiH

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović, after flowers were laid today at Kovači and the 33rd anniversary of the defense of the Presidency of the Republic of BiH and the City of Sarajevo was marked, emphasized the importance of this crucial battle at the time, but also spoke about the battles that lie ahead.

"Today, too, it should be said that the Presidency plays an important role. No one must allow that at any time a system comes into place that would entail an asymmetric election to the Presidency. That must not even be negotiated. We must work on building two key bridges - towards the European Union and the NATO alliance," Bećirović emphasized.

Commenting on Milorad Dodik, Bećirović said that all words about him are worn out.

"He is a political boor. He plays on the field of primitivism, while I play on the field of legal arguments. I will never stoop to his level. I have never given a single statement that is in any way offensive to any people in BiH. I respect all people equally; I believe the future of this country lies in mutual respect," Bećirović added, and then commented on Dragan Čović's latest appearance:

"Unfortunately, policies that do not accept an independent, sovereign, and indivisible BiH have never died, and they are still trying to destabilize Bosnia and Herzegovina today. When it comes to Čović, he acts neither in the interest of the Croatian people nor in the interest of BiH. In a manual written by Kecmanović and Antić, called the History of the RS, it says that Čović is one of the three key pillars of Greater Serbian policy. That part should be read carefully; they did not write it by chance. We need good cooperation with Croatia and good cooperation between Bosniaks and Croats, but Čović is causing great damage to BiH."
