SDP MP Denis Bećirović has submitted an irrevocable resignation from the position of member of the Human Rights Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the continuous denial of the Bosnian language in the RS, reports a reporter of the Patria news agency.
Borjana Krišto, who chairs today's session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, asked Bećirović to submit his resignation in writing.
Bećirović said that there is no point in sitting on such a commission, because he will never agree to any negotiations on the Bosnian language.
- That is a historical name and I see no reason for anyone in this country to forbid any people from calling their language what they want. Such a policy is the lowest of the low - stated Bećirović.
Krišto said that there will be no discussion on the resignation, and that when the written resignation arrives, she will put that case on the agenda.
