(Patria) - Members of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović and Željko Komšić spoke today with the Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) for the Western Balkans, Karen Pierce.
Bećirović pointed to the serious security challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the aggressive attacks on the constitutional order of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the leadership of the BiH entity of Rs.
He said that the anti-Dayton separatist actions of the authorities of Rs have led to a direct threat to the Dayton Peace Agreement, i.e., the Constitution of BiH, as well as security and peace in our country.
- Therefore, it is important that those responsible for anti-constitutional activities are finally stopped. Domestic authorities and the international community must be cautious and decisive, because the attack on the constitutional order of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is still ongoing - said Bećirović.
Pierce said that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire Western Balkans are very important for British and European security. She emphasized that the UK strongly supports the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She also stated that the decisions of the High Representative are legal, and that the UK and the West support the High Representative of the international community.
Bećirović added that during the anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional actions of the authorities of the BiH entity of Rs, it is of utmost importance that the UK stands firmly with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He emphasized that the UK is of great importance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, as it is a country that is one of the witnesses to the Dayton Peace Agreement.
