Bećirović: Dodik should forget both peaceful and violent breakup of the state of BiH

(Patria) - Following the latest anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional messages delivered today by the
president of the BiH entity Milorad Dodik, member of the BiH Presidency Dr. Denis Bećirović
sent the following message:

Dodik's message "that the SNSD will create an agreement on the peaceful separation of the FBiH and RS" is a
tragic delusion of an irresponsible politician who has waded deep into dangerous anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional waters. However, both he and those like him must know that there can be neither a peaceful nor a violent breakup of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We will defend the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina with all available legal, political,
diplomatic and other lawful means in accordance with national and international law. Those who thought it was possible to create a state on the internationally recognized state territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina ended up as war criminals with life sentences.

Milorad Dodik and his mentors must know that the fundamental determination of the Dayton
Peace Agreement and the Constitution of BiH is that all political and other factors shall be "committed to the
sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina in
accordance with international law."

Dodik's message that "Bosnia and Herzegovina is an imposed, forced state union,
created under pressure and maintained under pressure" is hypocritical and incorrect. Bosnia and
Herzegovina is a natural, historical, legal and political fact that has existed for more than 1,000
years. The entities within the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina are neither historical nor natural facts. Their creation within the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been described in detail in the judgments of the United Nations courts.

If Dodik's anti-Dayton and unreasonable policy leads to any separation, it will be a separation from what has been condemned in final judgments of the highest world courts.

To any attempt to implement a secessionist policy directed against the independence,
sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as any other
attempt that threatens peace within Bosnia and Herzegovina's pluralistic society,
the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a full member of the United Nations, will respond in a timely
and adequate manner, in accordance with the UN Charter and other relevant international treaties.

No one should underestimate the strength of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the readiness of the vast
majority of people to preserve an independent, sovereign, indivisible and multi-ethnic Bosnia and
Herzegovina. We do not want what belongs to others, but we will not give up Bosnia and Herzegovina!
