Baždarević follows Miličević: Will BiH get a new football gem

Danijel Miličević was born in Switzerland, and his parents are from Ugljevik, and he is another in a line of football hopes for our football, writes the Patria news agency.

Miličević was born in 1986 and has a contract with Belgian club KAA Gent until the summer of 2017.
He plays as an attacking midfielder, and often plays as a winger. Before Gent, he played for FC Lugano, Yverdon-Sport, AS Eupen, RSC Charleroi.

He also played for Swiss U-19, U-20 and U-21 teams in the generation with Rakitić, Kuzmanović, Gelson Fernandes, Ziegler. He was the captain of RSC Charleroi.
In the winter transfer window of the 2013/2014 season, KAA Gent bought him for one million euros. He finished that season as the third best assist provider in the Belgian league with 14 assists and three goals. This season, he has scored 9 goals and recorded 7 assists in the league.

The Belgian league is currently in the playoffs, in which the top six teams participate. His Gent is in second place, only two points behind Club Brugge. In the last round, in a derby against Club Brugge, Miličević scored both goals for his team. His consistently good performances have attracted the interest of Italian club Palermo, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.

Miličević stated last year that he would respond to a call-up from coach Baždarević if he received one.

- If the call comes, I will respond, I have already said that. Things are going well for me at the club, but it is important that the whole team plays at a high level. We have a good team, we play attacking football and we want to qualify for European competitions - says Miličević.
National football team coach Mehmed Baždarević stated today that he is closely following Miličević's games.

- Regarding Miličević, I know him very well. We have watched him three times in the last two months. The director of his club, Michel, is a good friend of mine. You probably know that Miličević played for the Swiss youth selections, and there is a small problem there, but that is also solvable - stated Baždarević.
