Baždarević announces the Dragons' squad for duels with Luxembourg and Switzerland

The "A" national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will play friendly matches against Luxembourg and Switzerland on March 25 and 29. Coach Mehmed Baždarević has called up 25 players for these matches, writes the Patria News Agency.

Regardless of the fact that these are friendly matches, they are very important to Baždarević:

- We will give opportunities and playing time to those who haven't had much space so far, but the matches against Luxembourg and Switzerland are also important to us, even though they are friendly. We need a strong and solid first step, to immediately show everyone what we want, that we are serious and maximally engaged. Everyone who is called up must be 100% dedicated to the national team. There is no room for calculation. Form, behavior, and desire are the criteria we will use when selecting national team players - says Baždarević.

The coach also commented on the players who were not called up this time, but on whom he will count for future national team actions:

- Due to injuries of several players, we were a bit late with the announcement of the squad. We left two young players, Bajić and Hodžić, at the disposal of the "U-21" national team coach because they have a qualifying match ahead of them. Mujdža, Medunjanin, and Hajrović were not called up for these matches, but that does not mean they are written off; we know their value, and when they establish themselves in their clubs, we will count on them too. We are also monitoring Vršajević, as well as young players like Muris Mešanović, Krunić, and Kodra - added Baždarević.

The national team players will gather on March 23 in Luxembourg.
