Baždarević and Džeko: We know what kind of team they are, but we are going for the win

The Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina is playing a crucial World Cup qualifier for Russia against Belgium tomorrow, writes Patria News Agency. 

Ahead of tomorrow's match, a press conference was held where coach Mehmed Baždarević and captain Edin Džeko spoke. 

- I hope the tradition will continue, everyone keeps repeating what kind of opponent they are, we have to show an exceptional face and leave a better impression than in previous matches, we will play good football to achieve a good result, although we know it will be difficult - said Baždarević.

- We know who they are, the match cannot be decided in 15 minutes, we have worked on several options, I expect it to be difficult from the first minute, but we have our trump cards to achieve the right result, I think the team cannot be beaten so quickly against a strong team like Belgium.

Baždarević commented on the conditions and weather that await our players tomorrow.

- These conditions, not only the opponent but also us, force us to think, I think it will be something different than they imagined and we, we have no choice, whatever the weather, we have to play and give our best. We prepare before each match based on the opponent, we prepare a plan and work, and we work to play as best as we can at that moment, we have done everything to welcome the opponent in the best possible way, we have to show our best and true face at this moment, I would not go back to the absence of many players, I think with what we have we can show our true face - emphasized coach Baždarević. 

Edin Džeko is the player most expected to perform in tomorrow's duel. The captain of the BiH national team is aware of the difficulty of the match against Belgium, but emphasized that only with maximum commitment can the planned result be achieved.

- As for our plans for tomorrow, we will leave that part for the start of tomorrow's match, certainly Belgium is one of the best national teams, we have great respect for them, but I think we also have our chances, if every player gives his maximum, we can achieve a positive result - said Džeko.

He is not yet thinking about leaving the national team, but he is aware that the time will come when he will no longer be able to offer his maximum to the national team.

- Soon the future of the national team will be without Edin Džeko, it's all normal, surely the time will come when I won't be able to give my all, but I think I can play a few more matches - said the Roma striker.

Džeko did not want to comment on the last matches when the national team showed different faces.

- I would not go back to positive and negative faces, as I have already said, it is important that every player gives his maximum and only then will we achieve what we want - concluded the captain of our national team.

The match between BiH and Belgium will be played on Saturday at 6 PM at the Grbavica stadium.
