Baždarević: I didn't say anything to Bešić, it's better to resolve things after sleeping on it

Our national team coach, Mehmed Baždarević, after last night's victory against Andorra (3:0), arrived in Sarajevo from Zenica, where, as he told the Patria news agency, a new suitcase is already being prepared, because he is going to watch several matches of his players this weekend.

- I am preparing a plan with my assistant, and we believe we will watch the match between Hertha and Stuttgart, where we will see Vedad Ibišević and Toni Šunjić. Our goal now is to follow players who have changed clubs more closely – said Baždarević.

He added that he has one goal and wants to achieve it – and that is to qualify for the European Championship.

- If we do everything well and with heart in two matches, I believe we will reach the play-offs for the European Championship. Sometimes it is impossible to avoid some things, and surely we will have obstacles on our way to our goal, but I am an optimist – emphasized Baždarević.

One of the obstacles is certainly the red card received by Muhamed Bešić, but the coach did not want to comment on it excessively.

- I didn't say anything to him. It's better when he sleeps on it, but I will talk to him, and we will resolve this matter within the locker room – stated Meša, adding that he regrets that Bešić succumbed to the dirty play of the Andorrans and that the fans were disappointed.

Today, the media are still writing that Belgian Standard is interested in Baždarević's coaching services, but the BiH coach says:

- I have more important things to do, and little time to get everything done, because important matches are ahead of us in October. I am not thinking about another engagement – adds Baždarević.

NEWCOMERS IN THE TEAM

Last night, Baždarević also gave opportunities to some players who do not have much playing time, and Mario Vrančić also debuted.

- It is difficult to assess any player in matches like these, but I saw seriousness and fighting spirit, and that is what I am satisfied with. This means they can be counted on – added Baždarević.
