Batlak: The future of BiH is being decided in Herzegovina, from there the entire homeland is best seen

(Patria) - For centuries, the vast majority of citizens have had a strongly developed state-building awareness that the idea of Bosnia resides in Herzegovina, as a kind of frontier region, in the best and most powerful way.

This was stated on the occasion of today's peaceful protests in front of the building of the Office of the High Representative (OHR) in Sarajevo by the president of the Forum Neretva from Mostar, Edin Batlak.

Batlak said that Herzegovina has produced the best sons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and then sent a message to the entire Bosnian-Herzegovinian public and especially to political parties that claim to be pro-Bosnian.

- No one has the right to view Herzegovina as the exclusive space of one ethnic group, because whoever does so signs a capitulation due to their own narrow-mindedness and inability to fight for the future of equal rights for citizens of our entire homeland.

Let us be aware that advocating for a third entity, whose wartime implementation was condemned by the International Tribunal, is not only the goal of a third ethnic entity, but of a second entity in which Bosniaks would be the majority - Batlak emphasizes.

That second entity, he adds, has the open prospect of a Balkan Gaza and decades-long extinction of the undesirable element in the Balkans.

- We do not accept ethnic pens whose advocates are narrow-minded people and haters of Bosnian harmony - Batlak notes.

He recalls that three months ago, the "Mostar Declaration on Democratic Development and the European Future of Bosnia and Herzegovina" was adopted, which clearly stated the only correct path for our homeland to be inscribed in the circle of progressive countries.

- Never before, and in the coming period, will the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina be decided as it is now in Herzegovina, because without Herzegovina, Bosnia cannot survive.

This is not a regional self-admiration and giving importance to oneself, but the most sincere indication of the path to survival of our beloved homeland.

Therefore, a message to pro-Bosnian political parties: come and fight from the center of Herzegovina, because from there every part of the homeland is best seen.

To start, as early as tomorrow, make decisions to move parts of your party headquarters to Mostar and from there lead election campaigns and continue the post-election struggle for the homeland from Herzegovina. Let that be your political capital for a prosperous future of BiH.
