Barbarić received only a public reprimand for nationalist rhetoric

Mija Martina Barbarić, spokesperson for the Federal Ministry of Tourism and Environment, who faced disciplinary proceedings due to a Facebook post in which she wrote "Za dom spremni" (Ready for the Homeland), has been found responsible by the Disciplinary Commission for violating work discipline rules, in accordance with the rules established in the Code of Ethics for Civil Servants.

As confirmed to NAP by the Civil Service Agency, Barbarić was issued a disciplinary measure of a public written reprimand for the committed violation of official duty.

However, Barbarić has continued with rhetoric claiming her innocence, and has appealed this decision.

- This decision is not final, and Mija Martina Barbarić has filed an appeal against the decision of the first-instance disciplinary commission with the Civil Service Appeals Board of the FBiH – added the Civil Service Agency.

We remind that for such a violation of official duty, the law also provides for a salary reduction, and even dismissal, but Barbarić clearly does not consider herself guilty, given that she has appealed the mere public reprimand.
