Barbarez finishes talks at Football Association, Stimac also arriving in Sarajevo today

Members of the Football Association of BiH commission have talked with Sergej Barbarez about a potential engagement for the position of the coach of the BiH national football team, and talks are expected to be held today with Croatian football expert Igor Štimac as well, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The Executive Board of the FA of BiH will hold a session on Thursday, where it will present the names of candidates who have made it to the shortlist for the selection of the future coach of BiH to the Commission, after football expert Safet Sušić was dismissed from this position.

As things stand, Barbarez has the loudest support from the fans, who want him as the coach of the Dragons at all costs. Namely, BH Fanaticosi, the most fervent group of BiH fans, sent a letter to the Football Association demanding that Barbarez exclusively be the new coach of BiH.

In their request, they stated that he may not have extensive experience as a coach, but his love for the BiH national football team, which he proved while he was its captain, is enough for him to now take the leading position of the national team.

Barbarez himself stated that his lifelong dream is to lead the Dragons.

The new coach of Bosnia and Herzegovina will have a difficult path ahead, on which he must not lose a single one of the remaining six matches if he wants to qualify for the European Football Championship in France in 2016, writes NAP.
