Bosnia and Herzegovina international Toni Šunjić has signed for German club Stuttgart. The contract for the 26-year-old defender is valid until June 2018, writes the BiH news agency Patria.
He will wear the jersey with the number 4. The club's sports director, Robin Dutt, said that Šunjić will fit well into their concept with his style of play, and will also bring his international experience to the team.
Šunjić has made 14 appearances for BiH and also played at the World Cup in Brazil. He moved to Stuttgart from Russia's Kuban.
A welcome was also extended by former national team captain Sergej Barbarez, who lives and works in Germany.
