If red wine and coffee are your favorite drinks, then barista Saša Šestić from Australia has the perfect drink for you, writes the BH News Agency Patria.
Saša Šestić, who was born in Banja Luka and lives and works in Canberra (Australia), has been declared the best barista in the world at the World Barista Championship held over the weekend in Seattle (USA).
To win, Šestić had to make 12 coffees in 15 minutes: espressos, cappuccinos, and a coffee with his own signature, for which he used Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier wine before fermentation.
Šestić became the Australian national champion last month, and he practiced the perfect combination of coffee and wine for days.
He is also the owner of a company for the production of raw coffee and related equipment for making coffee.
Interestingly, Šestić represented Australia with the handball team at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.
WHAT IS A BARISTA
Professional baristas often see themselves as coffee artists and masters of the espresso machine. A barista has extensive knowledge of raw coffee, cultivation, processing, preparation, roasting, and the history of coffee. But they must also know how to serve guests, know what their guests drink, or how to interest them in coffee. A barista constantly experiments, researches, and permanently works on their relationship with coffee.
