Banja Luka: Man attacked by bear stable for now

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - A 48-year-old man with initials N. T. from Kotor Varoš had his foot and part of his lower leg torn off by a bear during the attack, has bites on his extremities, but his health condition is stable, announced the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka.

The patient was hospitalized at the Clinic for Orthopedics and Traumatology. Doctor Milorad Maran said that N. T. has bear bites on his right lower leg and right forearm, as well as a fracture of his right arm, and remains under further hospital treatment and monitoring.

The patient was brought to the Emergency Center of the UKC at 2:45 a.m. this morning by an ambulance from the Kotor Varoš Health Center.
