Bandić requested a break due to Okerić and Zahiragić conflict: Calm down, it's Ramadan!

(Patria) – After a heated debate about the urgency of the procedure, rejection of agenda items, and deputies' questions, the Sarajevo Canton Assembly is on a break, and it's not hard to assume that fierce debates await us in the continuation.

The Sarajevo Canton Assembly has not been this turbulent for a long time. On the agenda is the Proposal of the Decision on accepting the resignation of the Prime Minister of KS Nihad Uk and the dismissal of the Government of the Sarajevo Canton. Despite this, five laws are being considered at the session, which led the opposition to conclude that the story about forming an expert government is just political deception.

Uk submitted his resignation from the position of Prime Minister on February 15, three days after the tragic tram accident in which young Erdoan Morankić was killed, while four other people were injured, one of them seriously.

During the debate on the amendments to the Law on Communal Cleanliness, which is being considered under an expedited procedure, an incident also occurred in the assembly hall. The Speaker of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly Elvedin Okerić (NiP) took the floor away from deputy Haris Zahiragić (SDA), although, according to him, he had the right to a rebuttal.

Zahiragić then stated that he would record for the citizens of Sarajevo, as he put it, "all the police force" that was brought to the Sarajevo Canton Government building due to the announced protests.

"What are you afraid of, a group of young people? You've brought an army here," Zahiragić said.

Okerić, with a cynical smile, retorted to Zahiragić: "Just go, leave the hall."

After that, deputy Muamer Bandić (SBiH) requested a 15-minute break, warning Okerić that he had no right to comment on the debate, but only to declare a break so that the passions in the hall could calm down.

Otherwise, the Proposal of the Decision on the Protection of the drinking water source "Djevojačke vode" will also be considered today.
