Bandić: We are aware of the challenges, but also ready to make Novo Sarajevo a desirable place to live by achieving our goals!

(Patria) - A rally of support for the candidate for mayor of Novo Sarajevo, Muamer Bandić, was held on Sunday evening at the International Center for Children and Youth. Candidates from the Party for BiH, the Party of Democratic Action, the Democratic Front, and the People's European Party were presented in the crowded hall of the Center.

The attendees were addressed by the leaders of the lists of these four parties.

Omer Begović, leader of the Party for BiH list, emphasized that mutual honesty between the parties will lead to excellent results and victory in all municipalities.

"At the same time, our mutual honesty is a pledge for the General Elections in 2026 and taking power in the Sarajevo Canton, FBiH, and at the BiH level. Let's all think seriously about this, we simply must stop and remove these pests from power, who have caused enormous damage at all levels of government, in all institutions," said Begović.



Speaking about Muamer Bandić, he said that Bandić has been recognized by citizens and the general public in his political work over the past period as one of the most successful politicians.

"He is an exceptionally competent, capable, highly moral, and responsible man. Muamer Bandić perfectly knows and understands all the needs of the citizens of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo. I am sure that he will solve them according to a very serious program he has prepared for each local community, because we previously visited all local communities, almost all streets, neighborhoods, surveyed citizens, by talking directly with citizens," emphasized Begović.

Kerim Balić, leader of the SDA list, pointed out that everyone in Novo Sarajevo is aware of the 'Sarajevo Agreement' from 2020, where they then offered changes to all citizens of Sarajevo Canton, including the citizens of Novo Sarajevo.

“And the citizens of Novo Sarajevo accepted that 'Sarajevo Agreement', and as a consequence of their capital projects, the municipality of Novo Sarajevo was irreversibly damaged. This year, they again offered us some new solutions like the mayor Benjamina Karić, who bought an apartment in another municipality, plans to expand her family in Centar, and she will thus know the daily problems and needs of the citizens of Novo Sarajevo. I won't talk much about Koldžo, he received the citizens' answer in 2020. So, the only real change and what the citizens of Novo Sarajevo need is Muamer Bandić,” stated Balić.

These four lists, he added, are a guarantee that, God willing, the future mayor Muamer Bandić will have a stable majority in the Municipal Council of Novo Sarajevo and that they will all be able to work on projects together.

“The citizens of Novo Sarajevo know that a vote for Benjamina Karić is actually a vote for Rama Isak, and that is why Muamer Bandić is the right choice and the only real change for Novo Sarajevo!” concluded Balić.

Mirza Ramić, as the leader of the Democratic Front list, said that he wants to emphasize that these elections are very important for everyone, so that they can achieve their goals with joint strength.

"In fact, only by acting together can we improve our municipality and create better living conditions. We will not make promises like those before us, we will do everything to fulfill their promises as well, and of course, through new projects, we will make our municipality even better and stronger. In addition, I want to emphasize that we will create a political environment that will contribute to the equal development of all local communities in Novo Sarajevo. We are those who will not let our citizens down, and we should and must strive for our joint candidate in these local elections for the mayor of Novo Sarajevo municipality, Muamer Bandić, to win, because we do not see a quality alternative. And finally, I want to quote our president Komšić. Politics is not just power, politics is responsibility. Responsibility towards the job you do, responsibility towards the citizens who vote, responsibility towards your family. Let's show that we can be different,” said Ramić.



Nedim Salihagić, leader of the NES list, emphasized that they supported Muamer Bandić because of his experience, knowledge, and proven readiness to fight for a better life for the citizens.

"We have unequivocally supported Bandić and did not look at which party he was from. After four years, it is time for Novo Sarajevo to get a real mayor for the benefit of all of us," stated Salihagić and announced that he represents a very high-quality list.

The candidate for mayor of Novo Sarajevo, Muamer Bandić, took the stage to a standing ovation.

At the beginning, he said he was happy about the large attendance at the rallies of the four partner parties, as some other rallies resemble chance encounters of acquaintances in parks and squares more.

“We stand here together today, with our eyes set on the future. Novo Sarajevo is the heart of our capital city, a municipality with the potential to become a symbol of progress, unity, and honor. That is why we have clearly defined in the program 'The Only Real Change' what we will do if we gain your trust. Our plan is realistic, we are not in the clouds like some others. Our plan is that after our term, no one in Novo Sarajevo will have problems with municipal bureaucracy, water supply, and sewage. We have a plan for solving parking issues.

We also have partners from the European Union with whom we will solve this issue in a quality way! Rest assured that we will make road and communal infrastructure modern and functional. I am sorry that we have to deal with this, because it should have been completed long ago, but rest assured that whoever is mayor after me will not be dealing with these issues,” said Bandić.

He added that Novo Sarajevo will be built, but in a planned manner.

“We will stop illegal construction, but allow every investor to open new jobs and new opportunities for local government in accordance with the laws and the needs of the citizens. While some offer you fences, we will offer parks and sports and recreational centers open to everyone,” emphasized Bandić.

“They ask me why us? Because we believe in our people. Because we know that the strength of Bosnia and Herzegovina lies in every one of its people, in every settlement, in every workplace. Together, we can stimulate economic growth, ensure better education and healthcare, but also create a municipality that will be a place of pleasant living and pride for all of us.

Unity is our strength. Every step we take, we will take together. This is not a one-man campaign, this is a movement of every individual who wants a better tomorrow, who wants Novo Sarajevo to be a place where young people return, where every family feels secure, and where we have a vision that leads us forward,” emphasized Bandić.

And concluded: “We are aware that difficult challenges await us, but we are bravely moving forward. We are not looking for excuses, we are looking for solutions! In the name of our people, our future, and the future of our children.

Together, we will make Novo Sarajevo the pride of all of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Because our goal is clearly defined: a strong, just, and prosperous municipality. A municipality that reflects the values of this nation, a municipality that will be proud of every one of its citizens. Therefore, let's be together, let's work together, and let's win together! Let's be the only real change, Novo Sarajevo deserves it and has waited too long!”
