Bajrović: Chances of the BiH Council of Ministers changing are below one percent

(Patria) - The Trojka parties announced today that they are officially terminating cooperation with SNSD.

- Trojka will claim that they will remove Milorad Dodik from power until it becomes clear that there is nothing to it, said Reuf Bajrović, vice-president of the American-European Alliance, as a guest on Hayat Television tonight.

According to him, Dragan Čović has a veto on the recomposition of the BiH Council of Ministers, and SNSD and HDZ have been "tied by the umbilical cord" for 20 years.

- People who know the procedures laugh at this, because the chances of the BiH Council of Ministers changing are below one percent - says Bajrović.

He also points out that there is a theoretical chance - that Čović agrees to it, and that Dodik, since he has three out of five delegates in the Club of the Serb People in the House of Peoples of BiH, does not use the blockade mechanism by the absence of his delegates.

- Things are intentionally misrepresented to the people here, and Trojka is doing it. The Council of Ministers is elected only in the House of Representatives, after the Presidency gives the mandate to the chairperson.

Bećirović decided to give the mandate to Borjana Krišto, i.e., SNSD and HDZ, by outvoting Komšić. And then Trojka jumped on their train.

And for the BiH Council of Ministers to change, the House of Peoples must also vote, as per the Constitution. And that's the catch they are trying to hide from the people, which is that Čović has a veto because of the House of Peoples, and so does Dodik.

Therefore, there is nothing to it, this will be "dragged out" for a month or two until they say - you know, we tried, but they wouldn't let us - added Bajrović.

He also believes that Trojka decided to agree to such a scenario because it was their way of staying in the BiH Council of Ministers.

- When you 'arm' Dodik and Čović in a political sense, it is expected that things will develop in a different direction, not the one they decide - says Bajrović.

During the show, he also touched upon the new US administration, led by President Donald Trump.

Bajrović believes that Bosnia and Herzegovina should not have high expectations from the Trump administration.

- Nobody knows what the plan is, but when we look at who is interested in Balkan politics, BiH is not doing well.

These are people who are close to Belgrade and Zagreb because they lobby. No one from Sarajevo is trying anything - added Bajrović.
