Bajram message from the Reis-ul-ulema: Let us be each other's support and help in good

(Patria) - The Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein-ef. Kavazović, today sent a message to Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina, homeland countries, and the diaspora on the occasion of the upcoming Ramadan Bayram.

The MINA agency conveys the Reis-ul-ulema's Bayram message in its entirety:

"Brothers and sisters,

We have welcomed Ramadan Bayram after a month of fasting, during which we strived to purify our hearts, strengthen our faith, and ennoble our relationship with people.

Ramadan has taught us that true strength lies not in force, but in self-control; that a person's greatness is not measured by what they take, but by what they give; and that the closest to Allah's mercy is the one who is most beneficial to His creatures.

I pray to Almighty Allah to accept our acts of worship: fasting, prayers, supplications, zakat, and sadaqat al-fitr, as well as all the good deeds we have done in this chosen month.

May the traces of Ramadan remain within us even after its departure, making us better people and more sincere believers.

Brothers and sisters!

Bayram comes to us at a time when the modern world, despite its power and progress, is deeply wounded by wars, violence, injustice, and indifference.

Before our eyes, homes are being destroyed, lives are being cut short, and human dignity is being trampled.

Therefore, our Bayram joy must not remain confined within the circle of our own happiness. It must be open to the pain of those who suffer, to prayers for those who are suffering, and to help for those who need it.

As always, today too, we must preserve peace and harmony among ourselves, mutual respect, and our homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Let us be aware of the gravity of the times we live in and let us be each other's support and help in good.

At a time when many spread fear and mistrust, we are called to spread security, trust, and goodness. Let this be evident in our Bayrams as well.

I congratulate all Muslim men and women in the homeland, neighboring countries, and the diaspora on the upcoming days of Ramadan Bayram.

May Bayram bring us peace in our hearts, warmth to our families, strength in unity, and hope that goodness can spread even when it seems there is too little of it in the world.

Bayram šerif mubarek olsun!“
