Mayor Karić's Bayram Greeting: Today We Visit Our Closest, Kiss the Hands of the Eldest, and Enjoy Baklava

(Patria) - Sarajevo Mayor Benjamina Karić sent a greeting to the citizens of Sarajevo on the occasion of Ramadan Bayram.

"Bayram has arrived, the courtyards smell fragrant! Our entire Sarajevo smells fragrant!

My dear fellow citizens, men and women of Sarajevo, especially those who have fasted the month of Ramadan with pure faith in their hearts...

Bayram Šerif Mubarek Olsun!

Today we visit our closest, kiss the hands of the eldest, share smiles, and give Bayram gifts to the youngest!

May the beauty of this city, its traditions, and the celebration of all religious holidays live forever! See you at Baščaršija Square to sweeten up together with baklava! Once again, Bayrambarećula," Karić wrote.

She previously noted that a record number of baklava, precisely 2000 pieces of this traditional Bayram delicacy, will be distributed this year.
