BAGS Energotehnika must provide heating to citizens of Vogošća

(Patria) - The Sarajevo Canton Government has ordered the director of the company BAGS Energotehnika to immediately ensure uninterrupted production and distribution of thermal energy to households in Vogošća.

This conclusion came after the Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of the Sarajevo Canton informed the Government today that the company had not activated the heating system, despite the Ministry having fulfilled all its obligations.

The Ministry also informed the public about this today, stating that the Ministry allocated funds for the procurement of energy on October 10, 2025, fulfilling the obligation undertaken at the meeting on October 3, 2025.

"On that occasion, the management of BAGS committed to immediately establish the heating function. Despite the financial support, the obligation to turn on the heating has not been fulfilled, and the energy supplier confirmed that BAGS did not even request the delivery of a sufficient quantity of fuel oil.

Responsibility for the fact that 650 households are without heating lies solely with the management of the company BAGS Energotehnika," it was stated, among other things, from the Ministry in a broader statement sent to the public today.

The Government and the Ministry emphasize that citizens must not be hostages to the irresponsible and inefficient actions of the company's management, and expect the company BAGS to immediately fulfill its obligations and provide heating.
