JP Autoceste FBiH d.o.o. Mostar on Friday, December 19, 2014, announced an international call for applications in the pre-qualification procedure for the construction and supervision of the Počitelj - Bijača section, subsection Počitelj - Međugorje. The call will be open until the end of January 2015, the company announced, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

As stated by director Ensad Karić, the longest bridge on Corridor 5c, Počitelj Bridge, will be built on this subsection.

- Počitelj Bridge is 975 meters long and 85 meters high, with monolithic pillars and a span structure between pillars of 147 meters. The bridge is located north of the town of Počitelj on the Počitelj – Međugorje subsection of the Corridor 5c highway and connects the two banks of the Neretva River, crossing the M17 main road, the railway line, and a local road - said the director of JP Autoceste FBiH, Ensad Karić.

The Počitelj - Međugorje subsection is a total of ten kilometers long. Funds for the construction of this section have been secured from the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The contract for the construction and supervision of the construction of this section will be signed in the first half of next year. The deadline for the completion of the highway construction on Corridor 5c, subsection Počitelj - Međugorje, is 30 months.

This is a continuation of the construction of a new investment cycle of the highway on Corridor 5c, with a total length of 80 kilometers. The construction of this subsection connects the towns of Počitelj - Međugorje with the border with Croatia.
