AS Jelah and Inžinjering 1 donate Warming Table for newborns to Tešanj hospital

(Patria) - That care for the local community is one of the most important segments of social responsibility has been proven by the humane gesture of Armin Hrvić, director of the company AS and his wife Merita Hrvić, executive director of the company Inžinjering 1, who donated a Warming Table for newborns to the General Hospital Tešanj, valued at 40,950 KM.

A Warming Table is an important piece of equipment in maternity wards to ensure the safety of newborn babies, so that they spend the first moments of their lives in a warm environment similar to the one they had in their mother's womb. It is extremely important in complicated births.

"The donation of the Warming Table for newborns represents our commitment to the community and our care for the youngest members of our society. We understand that the period after childbirth is extremely important for mothers and their babies, and we have decided to provide support through this donation that will enable them to focus on their health and the well-being of their little ones," stated Armin and Merita Hrvić.

The director of the General Hospital Tešanj, Omer Bedak, expressed special gratitude for this humane gesture, stating that their previous Warming Table only met basic needs. This donated one is the first Warming Table of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"We are extremely pleased that our domestic companies AS Jelah and Inžinjering 1, which foster socially responsible business, have recognized one of the problems we face and, with their humanity, have provided comfort to all future mothers and babies. This is truly a valuable donation that represents a kind of incentive for birth rate, which is influenced by numerous factors, and some of them are the comfort and safety of our mothers giving birth," says Omer Bedak, director of the General Hospital Tešanj.

A Warming (resuscitation) table allows the newborn to adapt to the external environment after birth.

It is part of the medical equipment possessed by all modern maternity wards and is almost unimaginable without it today.

"Such a modern device will enable us to adequately care for newborns whose lives are at risk after high-risk deliveries and will improve the level of medical service for mothers from four municipalities – Tešanj, D. Jug, Usora, and Maglaj – which gravitate towards the maternity ward of the General Hospital Tešanj. This concerns approximately 100,000 inhabitants, and up to 650 births are performed annually in our hospital. I thank the donors for recognizing our needs on behalf of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department," stated Larisa Mešić Đogić, head of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of the General Hospital Tešanj.
