(Patria) - The case against RS President Milorad Dodik, which relates to the non-enforcement of the High Representative's decisions, has finally been forwarded to the Appellate Department of the BiH Court, Istraga.ba has learned.
After the formation of the appellate panel, a hearing will be scheduled where the Prosecution and the defense will present their appeals.
Dodik was previously sentenced to one year in prison and six years of being banned from holding political office, because, as the entity president, he ignored the decisions of the OHR and lawfully transferred competencies. However, he continues to actively perform all his functions without any restrictions.
This case symbolizes the years-long practice of selective justice in BiH, where court proceedings drag on indefinitely, and politically powerful individuals remain untouched, regardless of verdicts or issued warrants.
