Antonio Pavić is the new player of Sarajevo's Željezničar

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Antonio Pavić, former player of Istra, Koper, and Osijek, is the new player of Željezničar.

The twenty-three-year-old left-back signed a two-year contract.

Antonio Pavić was born on November 18, 1994, in Frankfurt. He went through all youth selections of Osijek, and after playing several seasons in the 1. HNL for Osijek, he moved to Slovenian Koper. The last club Pavić played for was Istra 1961.

- I am happy to have come to Željo, we all know what Željo means in this region. I am glad to play for a club that fights for a trophy every year, and I will give my all to justify the trust placed in me by the management - said Antonio Pavić.

Pavić is a classic left-footer. His assists are "half a goal", he is extremely fast and covers the entire left flank. The agile Pavić is brought to Željo by Romeo Filipović, who himself played at Grbavica and wore the blue jersey at one time.

Coach Slobodan Krčmarević decided on Pavić after talking with Pavić's manager, and recommended the chief scout Mirsad Bešlija to complete the "technical" part of the contract.

Whether Pavić is a "turbo" reinforcement or another player who will terminate his contract in six months to the detriment of the club will be shown by time and European matches.

Pavić will join the team in Međugorje this evening and will have his first training session tomorrow morning.
