(Patria) - The central figure of the Mostar SDP is Aner Žuljević, who formally holds no party office but, with the help of party leader Nermin Nikšić, controls all processes in the Mostar organisation of the Social Democrats, writes Slobodna Bosna.
A member of the SDP Presidency, Aner Žuljević formally holds no party office in his native Mostar, but thanks to the fact that he is well-regarded by party leader Nermin Nikšić, he is the first violin of the Mostar Social Democrats.
He particularly expanded his influence after getting rid of the disobedient Arman Zalihić, the president of the SDP City Committee, and installed his loyalists in the city committee.
The real power and influence of Aner Žuljević in the Mostar SDP came to full expression recently, during the creation of electoral lists for this year's local elections. Not only did he line up his numerous loyalists on the electoral lists, such as Sanjin Hadžiomerović or Nedim Ajanić, but he also pushed through his own brother Sanel Žuljević and his godmother Maja Burić on the electoral list!
Aner's brother Sanel is the bearer of the electoral list for the city area of Stari Grad, while his godmother Maja Burić is the bearer of the list for the city area of Zapad.
On the list is also Aner Žuljević himself as a candidate for the City Council of the City of Mostar. However, according to all indications, even if he wins a sufficient number of votes, Žuljević will not take up the mandate of city councillor but will remain a federal parliamentarian.
