(Patria) - Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Srđan Amidžić (SNSD) said after today's session of the Indirect Taxation Authority (UIO) Management Board, where there was no willingness from RS officials to cooperate and adopt important decisions, that tomorrow the Gradiška border crossing (New Bridge) will be ceremonially opened, but will not be functional.
"As far as I'm concerned, I agree that it should be cancelled, but the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH arranged it at the level with the Republic of Croatia, the prime minister is also coming. People have invested serious funds to build roads and the bridge, RS has invested funds to build the highway to that part," said Amidžić.
At today's session, Amidžić was unwilling to vote for new coefficients for the distribution of VAT revenue between the entities of the Federation of BiH and RS, nor for the settlement, so the decision on the UIO Rulebook for the deployment of staff to the new border crossing was not adopted.
And while after the session Amidžić insulted expert Zijad Krnjić, who represents the interests of the Federation of BiH, even demanding his dismissal from the FBiH Government, even offering to pay him 1,000 KM per month just to step aside, Krnjić told the media that he doesn't need anything, and that Amidžić should return 100 million KM owed by RS to the Federation.
Otherwise, the visit of Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković is planned for tomorrow in Banja Luka, where a session of the two HDZs will also be held. Whether Plenković will actually appear at the opening of the non-functional border crossing remains to be seen tomorrow.
