(Patria) - Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Srđan Amidžić today called on the authorities in FBiH to reach an agreement as soon as possible on the distribution of more than 22 million KM in donations collected for those affected by the floods in Jablanica and other municipalities.
- The tragedy happened two months ago, donations were collected in record time, and the largest donor is the Government of Croatia. The money is in the account of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, which I head, but people cannot be helped because colleagues from FBiH cannot agree on how much money each municipality will receive. I will not take responsibility for that - Amidžić emphasized.
He stated that the Ministry of Finance and Treasury proposed three principles of distribution “although it has no obligation to do so.”
“Any solution is better than the current one. I once again appeal to colleagues from FBiH to reach an agreement. People who have experienced both personal and material tragedies must not be divided by anything. They must be helped as soon as possible" - Amidžić added.
