Amel Tuka advances to World Championship final, winner of semifinal race

The best Bosnian athlete Amel Tuka won today's semifinal race in the 800 metres at the World Championships in Beijing with a time of 1:44.84, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

In the very finish he overtook Ferguson Cheruiyot Rotich, who was the first to congratulate him on the victory.

The final race of the World Championships in the 800 metres is scheduled for Tuesday at 14:55. In addition to our Amel Tuka, the race will also feature Rotich, Adam Kszczot, Alfred Kipketer, Pierre-Ambroise Bosse, Nader Belhanbel, David Lekuta Rudisha and Musaeb Abdulrahman Balla.

Recall, Tuka took first place in his group in yesterday's qualifications with a result of 1:46.12. The final is on Tuesday, 25 August. 

Tuka works with Italian coach Gianni Ghidini and with his help has rapidly progressed and grown into a respectable athlete.
