The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a statement on social network X regarding the adoption of the Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica, emphasizing that genocide is condemned always and everywhere, both in Gaza and Srebrenica.
“Supporters of the condemnation of the genocide in Srebrenica should show their sincerity by stopping the genocide in Palestine. The day of condemnation of the genocide in Gaza is approaching, God willing,” the Iranian Embassy in BiH stated.
Let us recall, Iran was one of 84 countries that voted “for” the adoption of the Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica yesterday. There were 19 votes “against” and 68 “abstentions.”
With this Resolution, the majority of UN member states decided that July 11 will be observed every year as the International Day of Remembrance of the Genocide in Srebrenica. The Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica approved July 11 in the same way that January 27 was designated as Holocaust Remembrance Day and April 7 as the International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
