(Patria) - Two members of BH Fanaticos were arrested during yesterday's first round match of the World Championship between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Canada.
Before the start of the match, a clash between the Bosnia and Herzegovina fan group and stewards was recorded, after which two group members were detained by the police.
The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Canada also commented on the entire case, attempting to react and obtain additional information, but without success.
- Regarding information about the fan clash at BMO Field stadium in Toronto during the Canada – Bosnia and Herzegovina match and the detention of two fans by the police, the Embassy informs that it immediately contacted the police and requested additional clarifications, as well as to conduct an interview with the detained individuals. However, although of Bosnian origin, the individuals are German citizens with German documents, and the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina no longer had jurisdiction to provide consular assistance - it was stated.
After the arrest of two of their members, the rest of BH Fanaticos turned their main banner upside down in protest, expressing dissatisfaction with the police's handling and the detention of the fans.
