(Patria) - In an interview with David Hearst, editor of Middle East Eye, former member of the Saudi Shura Council Ahmed Altuwaijri1 described the United Arab Emirates as the "Trojan horse of Israeli ambitions", saying that Abu Dhabi's regional interventions have advanced Israel's strategic goals.
"With all due respect to Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi is a small district of Riyadh. There is no comparison", said Altuwaijri, adding: "The extremists who now rule Israel are not worthy of any cooperation and can never be trusted and will never be able to coexist with the Palestinians.“
"This genocide is a disgrace that humanity will remember", Altuwaijri emphasized.
Speaking about Saudi Arabia's stance, he said:
"Peace requires justice in Palestine, an independent sovereign Palestinian state, and a just solution for refugees. Saudi Arabia will not move an inch from this principled stance.“
He added that Israel poses a broader threat:
"Israel is a threat to humanity, Judaism, Jews, the region, and the Arab world."
