Almin Tajić: I am aware that I am not the only one who is ill, but I want a chance to live

Until a few months ago, 32-year-old Almin Tajić from Sarajevo lived a completely normal life. But one visit to the doctor, followed by collecting test results and examinations, completely turned Almin's life upside down, reports the Patria news agency.

-I am aware that I am not the only one with a health problem, but like others, I also want a chance to live and to save myself from this serious illness, says Almin.

He is the child of a fallen soldier, a graduate sociologist, and lives with his seriously ill mother in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Breka.  

-After a series of failed attempts to establish a diagnosis at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, I paid for treatment in Turkey with my own money, at the ACIBADEM Clinic, where I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, along with a recommendation for emergency surgery with an estimate of 32,000 euros.

I don't have that much money. Everything I had, including the loan I took out, I spent on previous treatment and establishing the diagnosis, says Almin.

Every minute is precious for this young man, because as time passes, the tumor increasingly damages the brain.
