(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina sitting volleyball team won its 11th European champion title last night.

At the 15th European Championship in the Italian town of Caorle, the Golden Lilies, after a great struggle in the final, defeated the German selection 3:2 (18:25, 25:23, 28:30, 25:21, 15:6).

Three BiH national team members received awards for their performance at this tournament.

Safet Alibašić was named the Best Player of the European Championship (MVP), Ismet Godinjak the Best Libero, and Ermin Jusufović received the recognition of "Best Spiker".

In addition to the title, the players selected by coach Ifet Mahmutović secured a direct spot at the next Paralympic Games in Paris 2024.

The sitting volleyball team received numerous congratulations, and it is the most trophy-winning national team of BiH.
